WarningSum:...Flash Flood Watch Remains In Effect Through Late Tonight...

Warning Message:The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* portions of North Carolina...Virginia and southeast West 
 Virginia...including the following areas...in North Carolina...
 Alleghany NC...Ashe...Caswell...Rockingham...Stokes...Surry...
 Watauga...Wilkes and Yadkin. In Virginia...Alleghany VA...
 Amherst...Appomattox...Bath...Bedford...Bland...Botetourt...
 Buckingham...Campbell...Charlotte...Craig...Floyd...Franklin...
 Giles...Grayson...Halifax...Henry...Montgomery...Patrick...
 Pittsylvania...Roanoke...Rockbridge...Smyth and Tazewell. In 
 southeast West Virginia...Greenbrier...Mercer...Monroe and 
 Summers.
* Through late tonight
* rain will begin this morning and become moderate to heavy this
  afternoon. The rain will be heavy at times through the evening. 
*1 to 3 inches of rain is expected with this system. This will
 create flash flooding potential over most of the region due to
 wet soil. Mudslides will also be possible especially in the
 mountains.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.

WarningSum:...High Wind Warning Now In Effect Until 6 Pm Est This Evening...

Warning Message:The High Wind Warning is now in effect until 6 PM EST this
evening. 
* Southeast winds increase after midnight tonight and last into 
  Sunday morning. Gusts to 60 mph will occur especially in the 
  higher terrain an in locations where winds may channel. 
* The combination of the strong winds and wet ground will cause 
  trees to come down. Some power outages are also likely. 
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts
of 58 mph are likely to cause sporadic power outages...fallen
trees...minor property damage...and dangerous driving conditions
for high profile vehicles. Residents should move unfastened
